Joshua is a Pan-African who has worked in the social change movement since 2014. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration majoring in Nongovernmental Organizations Management from Kampala International University and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. In 2014 he co-founded Youth for Reconciliation and Leadership, a community-based organization in rural Serere promoting peace and digital skills.
As a digital skills trainer, Joshua has impacted over 20,000 young people with the Google Digital Skills for Africa project. Previously he worked as the IT Support Staff Finance and Google Suite Administrator at Kampala International University.
In 2013, he was awarded a Google Africa Award for his outstanding leadership in the Google Student Ambassador Program.
His achievements leading grassroots initiatives earned him several United States Exchange Programs like the Young African Leaders Initiative, a flagship program of President Obama, and the Atlas Corps Fellowship. As an Atlas Corps Fellow, Joshua served with two charity arms of The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) like Center for Technology & Workforce Solutions (CTWS) in Washington D.C and Creating IT Futures in Chicago. He is also an alumnus of several leadership programs like the Global Pathfinders Summit, International Young Leaders Assembly, and the Institute of Economics and Peace Ambassador.
Joshua earned a Community Leaders Scholarship where he studied an advanced postgraduate certificate in Social Innovations Management at Amani Institute in Nairobi, Kenya. He is also a graduate of the ICT Health Leadership Program from the International Health Sciences University.
Joshua believes that leadership is about empowerment and selflessness, joining active politics is an opportunity for him to empower communities through education and job opportunities.
